Starry Night Lamp Shade

Last January

I bought a really ugly lamp

with the idea of stripping it down and crocheting a picture around the shade

I chose Van Gogh's Starry Night

and started collecting beads and wire.

Just a few days ago, I started stringing the thousands of seed beads needed to start crocheting the picture.   And then I started crocheting...

Day 1

I started with the moon and surrounding swirls

Day 2

Adding more to the swirls

Day 3

Starting on the stars
